Josh Schraad

Josh, originally from Seneca, Kansas, began his career at Taussig Landscape in 2013, while attending Kansas State University. Starting as a lawn care technician, Josh eventually transitioned into a role as a landscape installation crew laborer, after three years, with the company. From that point, Josh was able to gain a vast amount of hands-on experience and knowledge in just a few short years, finding excitement and passion for the trade along the way. In 2018, Josh graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Animal Science and Industry from Kansas State University. Although still having an interest in cattle and beef production, Josh decided to forego that career path. Pursuing his passion that he had found for landscaping while working for the company, he accepted a landscape crew leader position after graduation. There he would hone his craft, to a fine point, over the next seven years, specializing in patios and retaining walls. Recently, Josh has been promoted to a designer role and is excited to continue pursuing his passion for landscaping from a new, and unique perspective.

In his free time, Josh enjoys spending time doing various activities, with his significant other, Rylee, and their two dogs. Whether it be tending to their garden, landscaping their yard, or just relaxing on the deck with their dogs you can almost always find them outdoors. Josh is also an avid outdoorsman, hunting and fishing, whenever he can find the time. Having a particular interest in archery, he looks forward to pursuing whitetail or mule deer each fall. Along with providing Josh with a great amount of joy, these activities also provide him with a great way to get away from the hustle and bustle of normal life. Allowing him to relax, enjoy the nature around him, and leave the field feeling rejuvenated.
